Teachable MailerLite integration: App Hub app or connector

Last reviewed October 6, 2026

Quick answerMailerLite's directory has no Teachable entry, but Teachable documents a MailerLite app in its App Hub on every plan that sends students one way into MailerLite groups; a connector such as Zapier is the other route.

Does MailerLite integrate with Teachable?

Yes, from the Teachable side. MailerLite's directory has no Teachable entry, but Teachable's help center documents a MailerLite app in its App Hub on every plan: you install it with a MailerLite API token, and it sends new sign-ups, sales, enrollments, completed courses, canceled subscriptions and email leads one way into a MailerLite group. Students who did not opt in to marketing email are not passed across. A connector such as Zapier is the other route.

The app is the direct route, and Teachable lists it on every plan, though each Teachable plan caps how many apps a school can install: 1, 3, 5 or unlimited. Zapier is the route when you also need to remove students from groups or carry an opt-out across.

Teachable events you can send to MailerLite

Every event of the app does the same thing in MailerLite: it creates or updates the contact, in a group if you choose one. It sends nothing back to Teachable and has no removal or unsubscribe action, so a student who opts out inside Teachable stays subscribed in MailerLite unless you handle it, for example with Zapier's Unsubscribe Subscriber action.

Connect the two in five steps

  1. In MailerLite, create one group per course, plus any custom fields you want filled, and have an API token ready.
  2. In Teachable, open the App Hub and install the MailerLite app with that token.
  3. Turn on the Teachable events you want to send, and pick the MailerLite group each one adds the contact to.
  4. Enroll a test student who opted in to marketing email, using your own address.
  5. Check in MailerLite that the contact arrived in the right group.

Then build the course emails as a MailerLite automation that starts when a subscriber joins the group. That keeps the email logic in one place and the app's settings simple.

Check consent before you email students

Buying or enrolling in a course is not the same as agreeing to marketing email. Teachable's app passes only students who opted in to its marketing emails, so a student who did not opt in never reaches MailerLite through it. With Zapier, which also lists unsubscribe and resubscribe triggers, check the opt-in yourself before adding people to promotional groups, and decide which emails deliver the course and which are promotion.

Alternatives if you do not want a connector

A periodic export of students from Teachable and a manual import into MailerLite works for a small school and costs nothing extra, at the price of a delay. If you have not chosen a course platform yet, MemberVault connects to MailerLite directly with an API key. For the general approach to connector workflows, read the MailerLite integrations overview. A course creator can open a MailerLite account with a 14-day trial of premium features before installing the Teachable app.
