What is MailerLite: features, plans and who uses it

Last reviewed October 6, 2026

Quick answerMailerLite is email marketing software that sends newsletters and automated emails and builds forms, landing pages and websites. Receipts and password resets need MailerSend, its separate transactional product.

What MailerLite is and who uses it

MailerLite is email marketing software that sends newsletters and automated emails and builds signup forms, landing pages and websites. It sells four plans: Free, Comfort, Power and Enterprise. Free costs $0 a month for up to 250 active subscribers, and Comfort is $12 a month, billed monthly, at 500 subscribers.

Its Terms of Use make it a business tool: the service is strictly for commercial use. The pricing page pitches Comfort at regular newsletters and automations and Power at frequent senders, teams and AI agents. A new account gets a 14-day trial of premium features with no credit card required, before you choose a plan. The MailerLite review weighs the plans, and MailerLite pricing lists the tiers.

Newsletters, automations, templates and A/B testing

The Free plan page lists drag and drop, simple and custom HTML editors, and unlimited templates start on Comfort. An automation is a trigger plus steps that send emails or move subscribers on their own; a welcome email can run on the Joins group trigger. Free allows 3 active automations, Comfort 50 and Power unlimited, and only Power can start one automation from multiple triggers, up to 3.

Email A/B testing is on every plan, and multivariate testing starts on Comfort.

Signup forms, landing pages and the website builder

MailerLite has three signup form types: embedded forms placed in a page, pop-ups that appear on a site, and promotion pop-ups for announcements or offers. Double opt-in, where a person confirms by email, is available to verify consent.

The website builder sits in the same plans: Free holds 1 website of up to 5 pages and 1 landing page, and Comfort counts 10 pages and sites in total. Landing page A/B testing, up to 5 versions, is a Comfort and Power feature. See MailerLite landing pages for more on pages.

Selling digital products and paid newsletters

A digital product or booking is something sold through MailerLite pages with Stripe: a download, a recurring subscription, a paid newsletter or a booked appointment. Free allows 1, Comfort 5 and Power unlimited, but paid newsletters and recurring subscriptions need Comfort or Power. MailerLite takes no cut of digital product sales, and Stripe's own card fees are separate.

MailerLite's directory lists the Stripe integration as built by MailerLite, one of more than 100 integrations; the MailerLite integrations guide covers the rest.

Transactional email and email checks sit in other products

Transactional email, such as receipts and password resets, is not part of any MailerLite plan. It goes through MailerSend, a sister product billed separately, and the pricing grid prints Try MailerSend on every plan. Email address verification is MailerCheck, a sister company.

Pick MailerLite for newsletters, automations, forms and landing pages on one plan. Pick MailerSend when an app or store must send receipts or password resets.
