WooCommerce MailerLite integration: plugin, sync and cart emails

Last reviewed October 6, 2026

Quick answerMailerLite builds its own WooCommerce plugin to sync customers into a group and import products. For unlimited emails at 2,500, Power is $49 a month and Omnisend Pro $59, billed monthly; stay on Omnisend if you use it.

WooCommerce MailerLite integration: the plugin MailerLite builds

Yes. MailerLite builds its own WooCommerce plugin, which syncs WooCommerce customers into a MailerLite group, imports products into campaigns and tracks purchases made through campaigns. MailerLite's pricing grid ticks the WooCommerce integration on every plan, and its Free plan is $0 for up to 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month, as read on October 6, 2026.

MailerLite supports the integrations its own developers built, and third-party ones go to their developers. MailerLite integrations maps the rest. A store can connect WooCommerce during MailerLite's 14-day premium trial, and no card is required.

What the WooCommerce plugin syncs, and how to connect it

MailerLite's help article sets it up in five steps:

  1. In WordPress, open Plugins, then Add plugin, search for MailerLite, then click Install now and Activate.
  2. Open WooCommerce in the sidebar and choose the MailerLite tab.
  3. In MailerLite, open Integrations, then MailerLite API, then Use, and generate a new token.
  4. Paste the token into the API key box and click Connect account.
  5. Pick or create the group new customers join, then click Start import.

Nobody new syncs unless Subscribe at checkout is on, and a customer who did not accept marketing at checkout cannot be synced. The install does not sync existing customers who are not already in MailerLite.

Abandoned-cart emails and the checkout settings

For abandoned-cart and purchase follow-up emails, a store owner starts from e-commerce triggers, the connected-store events that start an automation. A cart counts as abandoned 30 minutes after the shopper leaves, and guest shoppers cannot trigger it, because they give an email only at checkout. Add subscribers after checkout switches abandoned cart off. Purchase emails also need the order marked Pending payment, Processing or Completed.

MailerLite's help article on e-commerce triggers lists PrestaShop, Shoper, Wix and the e-commerce API as supporting every trigger and leaves out WooCommerce, while its abandoned cart article and its WooCommerce plugin page include WooCommerce, so confirm the WooCommerce triggers in a test account.

Shopify works differently, with abandoned checkout in place of abandoned cart; the answer to does MailerLite integrate with Shopify covers that app.

Plugin updates and WordPress.com

The WordPress plugin directory flags MailerLite's WooCommerce plugin as not tested with the latest three WordPress releases, yet lists a version released on October 6, 2026; the plugin is built by MailerLite, and it is worth testing on your own store before you rely on it.

WordPress.com's own guide says a free site must upgrade before installing plugins.

Unlimited emails at 2,500: MailerLite Power or Omnisend Pro

For a store with 2,500 subscribers that wants no email cap, MailerLite Power is $49 a month billed monthly and Omnisend Pro is $59 a month billed monthly, up to 2,500 contacts. Both list unlimited emails. MailerLite attaches a fair use policy to Power, which lets it contact accounts whose usage strains the service.

Pick MailerLite Power for the lower price and the plugin above. Pick Omnisend Pro if you already use Omnisend or want the 5-day free migration it lists. Selling digital products through Stripe is a separate setup, covered in Stripe MailerLite integration.
