The practical difference
GetResponse sells Starter, Marketer and Creator plans, plus Enterprise. Starter has unlimited monthly email sends but 1 custom automation workflow; Marketer adds unlimited workflows, advanced segmentation, abandoned cart recovery and sales funnels; Creator adds webinars, a website builder, a course creator for up to 500 students and premium newsletter subscriptions.

Start a 14-day MailerLite trial →Automation
MailerLite counts active automations by plan: 3 on Free, 50 on Comfort and unlimited on Power, with up to 100 steps each on the paid plans. Only Power, and the trial, allow multiple triggers in one automation. GetResponse Starter's single custom workflow is fewer than the 3 on MailerLite's Free plan.
Sending limits and price
GetResponse Starter includes unlimited monthly email sends. MailerLite Comfort allows ten times your subscriber tier each month, 10,000 emails at 1,000 subscribers, and Power is unlimited under a fair use policy.
Billed monthly at 1,000 subscribers, MailerLite Comfort is $19 a month and Power $39. GetResponse's pricing page showed its prices in euros only when we read it, so this page gives no GetResponse price.
Webinars, courses and paid newsletters
If you run webinars or sell courses, GetResponse's Creator plan has both. MailerLite sells digital products and bookings through Stripe, and paid newsletters and recurring subscriptions on Comfort and Power; one digital product can be sold on Free.
Trials, discounts and moving a list
GetResponse and MailerLite both run 14-day trials with no card, so the two can be tried side by side. MailerLite's trial is limited to 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails.
GetResponse offers charities and NGOs a 50% discount; MailerLite gives nonprofits 30% off paid plans with proof of status. To move a list into MailerLite, export a CSV and import only people who opted in.
Which option should you choose?
Choose GetResponse if webinars, sales funnels or a course tool belong in the same account. Choose MailerLite if you want a free plan to start, 50 automations on Comfort, or a website and landing pages without a funnel suite.
